She has seen some action over the years previously owned by Steve Howe of YES. The original neck was replaced with a 1969 Fender Precision neck, hence the different logo from a ‘66. The rear of the headstock is also signed by Steve ( see pic). The rest is original plus it comes with pics, extract from the book and a paperwork  from Steve showing the bass and confirming its provenance. Its “Crushed Pearl” triangular fingerboard inlays are so Ricky ! It has both its original “Toaster” rhythm \u0026amp; “Horseshoe” bridge pickups that sound superb. Pot codes that date to 1968. Its serial number dates it to 1968. So it has a generic bridge, to which I have fitted Ernie Ball string mutes as this bass would have originally had. The body was already prepared for string mutes to be added, I just needed to drill the bridge and tap the holes for the four string mute bolts –so they are fully adjustable as the originals would have been.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt should be noted that on these models the serial number was stamped on the bridge, so this is obviously not the case here – it is an original USA Music Man Stingray though, and plays and sounds as such.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWith lovely checking to the lacquer, this bass looks amazing and is well-used; it is in really great for a 31-year-old bass, and plays and sounds amazing. I do have a set of period correct original tuners from a ‘64 Precision if the new owner would like to purchase those instead.
