1980 Gibson G3 Grabber Natural

£2,450.00

This is a vintage 1980 Gibson Grabber G3 bass guitar, crafted in the USA. Known for its unique three single-coil pickups and versatile tone, the G3 has become a sought-after classic for bassists looking for a punchy, vintage sound with plenty of character. This particular model was manufactured on July 1, 1980, making it one of the later G3s produced before the model was discontinued.

Key Features:

  • Three original single-coil pickups with "buck-and-a-half" wiring for a variety of tones.

  • Bolt-on maple neck with a smooth playing feel.

  • Original hardware, including the bridge and tuners.

  • Iconic natural finish, showing off the beautiful wood grain.

  • Well-balanced for comfortable playing.

Condition:

  • Overall, the bass is in great condition for its age and plays beautifully.

  • There is some cosmetic wear, including a noticeable wear mark on the back of the body (pictured) and slight warping of the pickguard near one edge (also pictured). These imperfections are purely aesthetic and do not affect playability or tone.

  • The bass has been well-maintained, with no modifications—retaining its original pickups and electronics.

This Gibson Grabber G3 is a great choice for players and collectors alike. Its iconic sound and design have been featured by bassists like Mike Dirnt of Green Day, making it a piece of punk and rock history.

Comes with original case too.
