1993 Musicman Stingray Bass Natural

Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 2-EQ H Natural Gloss 1993

This stunning Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay 2 EQ bass, Natural Gloss with Maple Neck and Rosewood Fretboard, was made in the USA in 1993 – it is in sound condition for its age. It has the lovely distinctive StingRay growl.

The previous owner had mislaid the original bridge– he said he’d dismantled it as he was going to refinish the body, but thankfully he didn’t as the checking on the lacquer looks amazing. So it has a generic bridge, to which I have fitted Ernie Ball string mutes as this bass would have originally had. The body was already prepared for string mutes to be added, I just needed to drill the bridge and tap the holes for the four string mute bolts –so they are fully adjustable as the originals would have been.

It should be noted that on these models the serial number was stamped on the bridge, so this is obviously not the case here – it is an original USA Music Man Stingray though, and plays and sounds as such.

With lovely checking to the lacquer, this bass looks amazing and is well-used; it is in really great for a 31-year-old bass, and plays and sounds amazing. Many people regard the 2-band EQ Stingrays very highly and this one has the original active circuitry too.

It’s a stunning example of an excellent Music Man StingRay bass, with that classic and original StingRay sound.
