Here we have a stunning Ken Smith Burner 5. For its age the bass is in great condition with one small ding on the back of the body. These are rare basses and Ken Smith basses are truly sublime things. This is a great opportunity to get hold of one and a pretty lightweight one at that. The bass comes with the original gigbag.
Having no serial number on the fingerboard or control plate it looks to date from 1989-1990 when some early made models and prototypes from Japan were produced without serial numbers which were sometimes added later in Pennysylvania.

If no serial number at the 24th, Fred and the backplate inside on the foil is plain without any writing on it then this is likely a domestic Japanese instrument sold in that market straight from the factory which they did in the early 90 about 300 were sold in Japan that we never saw.
Yes original Electronics, Japanese spaghetti that’s what they put in there but in 1992 towards the end of the year, we started using our circuits and they shipped them to us without them and we installed them here.
This one is nice and light too at 3.6KG
